Budgam, Oct 01 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday attached the head office of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in Rehmatabad area of Hyderpora under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
According to a statement, issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the attached property comprises a three-storey building on one kanal and one marla of land, which was being used as the office of the banned outfit.
The statement reads that the action is linked to FIR No. 08/2024 registered at Police Station Budgam under UAPA.
“The property was attached out on the basis of collected evidence and with due approval from the competent authority. This action marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation against unlawful and subversive activities and reflects the resolve of Police to neutralise threats to national security and maintain peace in the region,” it reads.
It reads that in coordination with other agencies, police will continue to take strict measures against individuals and organisations engaged in activities detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of the nation—(KNO)
